I don't know how to paint, invent subjects, match color combinations, size elements, or place the right accents...
Very rarely do I paint something specific seen in a meditation, a dream, or simply arrived fully formed. Often, I set an intention in the painting based on what came through (including here), but I don't paint literal visions.
Mostly, I just bring it forth and observe what emerges from beneath the brush...
I simply become an outside observer, waiting with curiosity to see what will unfold, what the next step and image will be...
The key here is not to be frightened and not to forbid yourself from reflecting what comes through—even if it defies all formal logic, raises more questions than it answers, or seems wrong, unfitting, and completely unrelated to me or the images already painted...
I wrote about this once before.
Some paintings I don't understand at all, some reveal themselves much later, and many I decipher like puzzles full of messages.
I often invite people close to me to help with the decoding. And that is one of the most valuable resources.
I am always glad for feedback here, because a painting can speak through someone completely unfamiliar to me...
Yet often, it is not even so important for me to understand it as it is simply to let the flow pass through me and release it into the world... Because when this energy arrives, it is so hard to keep it inside. It knocks, stirs, and demands a way out...
And for this painting, an immense amount of it came through...
And I just love it so much... One of those times when I am genuinely in awe, however unmodest that may sound... Going four months without picking up paints was not in vain))
