Sometimes during the process, I don’t like the painting at all—not one bit. It feels as though nothing is working: the format is off, the chosen imagery is wrong, I feel like I don't even know how to paint, and whatever I started is simply falling apart. Thoughts even arise to leave the work unfinished and start a new one.
In moments like these, you simply have to trust the space: stop self-criticizing, analyzing, or comparing, and just keep moving step by step without rushing to fix things or skip ahead. On the contrary, you need to sink deeper into your feelings, realizing that only the present step matters—honestly choosing the color you feel drawn to right now, rather than what the logical mind assumes would fit better. Listen to yourself about what shapes or symbols wish to be added, without questioning why. Simply trust.
And then the painting comes together. It shows that an intuitive creation cannot even be compared to anything the intellect could have pre-planned. It offers profound answers, food for thought, and such a surge of energy that it is difficult to put into words...
For me, this piece was precisely one of those journeys. Several times along the way, I wanted to give up on it, even while knowing deep down that I wouldn't. Yet now... it has gifted me so many insights...
It is also fascinating that this was my second time drawing the geometry of unconditional love, and for the second time, butterflies emerged in the artwork. And butterflies are, after all, a symbol of transformation... All transformation happens only through love... And love always leads to transformation...
